Energy Ratings Group (ERG) is seeking a HERS Rater/BPI Professional and home modeler. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of and passion for building science, experience modeling homes, technical and practical knowledge of field testing protocols such as blower door, duct testing, airflow and pressure testing, and the ability to manage a small team. 

As a growing company, ERG is looking for someone to direct the office side of the business while stepping into the field when needed, manage the technical side of ERG operations, and communicate with builders and other customers.

Requirements:

• Current HERS Rater/Rating Field Inspector Certification, or BPI certification

• Ease of use with computers, technology, and mobile applications; demonstrated ability to use rating and modeling technology; capable of independent troubleshooting and learning new technologies

• Clear verbal and written communication and reporting skills

• Ability to administer various energy and rebate programs

• Ability to do energy modeling for new construction, front/back end documentation and reporting

• Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders in the field

• Ability to carry 50+ pounds for short periods of time

• Desire to “push the envelope” and grow as a professional, rater, and modeler

• Ability to work independently and with a team

• Organized and methodical 

Responsibilities:

• Model new construction homes

• Business operations

• Administer various energy and rebate programs

• Communicate with builders about scope of work

• Consultations on how to improve building process and testing outcomes

• Work with team to maximize engagement with the market
